Buster Edmund Leavell, 77 of Russellville died Thursday, July 13, (1972) at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a native of Dover, the son of the late J. F and Polina Harris Leavell, was a retired railway mail clerk, and was a Primitive Baptist. He was a veteran of World War I, serving as quartermaster and secretary of World War I. Inc. A member of the American Legion, he received special awards for securing members for that organization.
.....He is survived by his wife., Mrs. Margaret Young Leavell, a son, Marlin E. Leavell of Monticello, (AR) a daughter Mrs. Milton "Margaret Elmo" Scott of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Joyce and Larry Leavell of Monticello, and Ann and Eddie Scott of Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. Olga Dilllahunty (Olga Leavell Gotcher) of Ozark and Mrs. Edna Chesser {not Church as the marriage book says} of Carlisle, and a number of nieces and nephews.
.....Funeral was at 2:30 Saturday at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Elder Roland Green and the Rev. Franklin Chesnut. Burial was in McFadden Cemetery (in Dover) by Gardner Funeral Service.
