Donald Gene Eslick, age 80, of Greenwood, South Carolina passed away January 9, 2012. He was born November 27, 1931, in Keo, Arkansas to the late Troy and Florine Davis Eslick. Mr. Eslick was a retired U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of service. Mr. Eslick began another career with Roadway Express. He retired in Hot Springs, Arkansas after 25 years of service with the company. He made Greenwood his home since 2006. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirleen Hesselbein Eslick.
Surviving are a son, Ronald and wife, Michelle Eslick, with whom he made his home; a daughter, Jacqueline and husband, Robin Olsson of Pensacola, Florida; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am, prior to service. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, at 11:00am in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Bobo officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Rockport Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
