Bobby L. Kitchens, age 63, of Malvern, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born July 7, 1949, in Benton, the son of Raymond and Mary Spears Kitchens. Bobby worked for Union Pacific Railroad for twenty-seven years and was a member of North Main Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing golf and loved Razorback Football. Bobby graduated from Bauxite High School in 1967, earned a Batchelor's degree from Henderson State University and was in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory, wife, whom he married on July 18, 1970, Linda Alexander Kitchens; sons, Brian and wife Shelly of Jonesboro and Chris Kitchens and girlfriend, Lyndi Wheatley of Malvern; daughter, Stacey Howard and husband Mike of Malvern; brother, Tommy Kitchens of Malvern; grandchildren, Chris McCutcheon, Jon Howard, Nate Howard, Austin Kitchens, and Chance Howard; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, August 10th from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern.
Services will be Saturday, August 11th at 2:00pm at North Main Church of Christ in Malvern with Bryan Baswell and Edgar Simmons officiating. Interment will be at Rockport Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris McCutcheon, Jon Howard, Nate Howard, Chance Howard, Austin Kitchens, Chris Kitchens, Josh McCool, and Alex Darnell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Timothy Webb and staff, Mercy Hospital ICU staff, Leisa Gill, and Jeremy Pierini. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Main Church of Christ, 823 North Main Street, Malvern, AR 72104.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
