James David (J.D.) Williams, 63, of Malvern, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 10, 1948, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas the son of Jake Henry and Vernnie Louise (Gosha) Williams. He was a self employed truck driver, worked as a security guard and a member of the American Legion, a US Army Disabled Vet of Vietnam and member of Second Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jake and Vernnie Williams, sister, Gladys Simmons, brother, Larry Williams, grandparents, Clead and Icy Mae Gosha, and Archie O. and Gladys Williams.
Survivors his wife Laurene (Brill) Williams, sons, James Williams of Texas, Keith and Craig Williams of Jacksonville, Joey Williams of Cabot, and Lawrence Williams of Malvern, daughters, Hope Ann Armstrong of Texas, and Rebecca Anderson of Malvern, brothers, Archie Williams of Mabelvale, and Bruce Williams of Sardis, sisters, Barbara Ann Williams of Benton, and Margaret Chambers of Mabelvale and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Monday, February 20, from 6PM until 8PM at Regency.
Funeral is Tuesday, February 21, at 11AM in the Regency Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rockport Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Charles Anderson, Dean Hood, Zach Byrd, Jason Galloway, Todd Lingo, Charles Miller.
