Roy Capehart, age 91, of Russellville, died Monday, September 16, 2019, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1928, in Mountain Pine to John Henry and Eula Pearl Hawkins Capehart.

He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of First Assembly of God, a 32nd degree Mason, Lodges #274 and #213 and Eastern Star, Lodge #505.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara J. Capehart; a son, Roy Allen Capehart; a sister, Joyce Hunt; and twin brother, Troy Capehart.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susie Capehart of Russellville; and a brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Robert E. and Grethel Capehart of Chowchilla, California.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Mike Norberg and Rev. Robert Capehart officiating.

Burial with full military honors provided by the United States Army Honor Guard will be in McFadden Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Barbara J. Capehart, 77, of Russellville, died Saturday, January 26, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 24, 1935, at Morning Star, Arkansas, to Jack Ovie Deatherage and Thelma Jeanette Witherell.

She was a very active member of the Dardanelle Chapter 587 of the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as the Russellville Chapter 505 of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Past Worthy Matron, and was elected in 1998 as the Grand Electa for the state of Arkansas. She also served as the Grand Representative to Nevada and was currently the District Deputy Grand Lecturer. She was a member of the Russellville Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Roy Allen Capehart who died in 1999.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Capehart; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susie Capehart of Russellville; and a sister, Betty Ann Jenkins of Russellville; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, the Rev. Robert E. and Grethel Capehart of Chowchilla, Calfornia; and nine nephews and nieces, Timmy, Lance and Ricky Jenkins, Jean Capehart, Lanell Yeaman, Jim Capehart, Carolyn Ragsdale, Ronnie Hunt and Dee Johnston.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Robert Capehart and the Rev. Mike Norberg. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Hunt, Jerry Whorton, Hank Yeaman, David Castleberry, Larry Rogers and Ricky Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. W. Robert Thurlby and his medical staff, members of the Russellville Chapter 505 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Dardanelle Chapter 587 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and members of the Masonic Lodge # 274 and the Masonic Lodge # 213.
