January 17, 1950 - March 20, 2015
Danny George Davis, 65 of Dover, AR, departed this earth, Friday, March 20, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, AR.
He was born January 17, 1950 in Deer AR, son of Inez Fiveash and George Newton Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Melba Copeland.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Kay Davis; three sons, George Franklin Davis, Doug Poynor, JR and wife Tosha, Mark Sparks; three daughters, Peggy Davis, Kathrine Panning; Thereasa Taylor and husband Charles; two brothers, Donald Davis and wife Donna, Virgil Fiveash and wife Cherry; two sisters, Doris Slover and Lou Ann Hunter; also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Danny worked at Tyson Sanitation in the chiller room for several years. He retired from Northwest Pallet Company. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and being around people and laughter.
Danny will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday evening at Broussard Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 2pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Broussard Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in McFadden Cemetery, Dover, AR.
Pallbearers will be, Doug Poynor III, Kenneth Poynor, Charles Taylor, Chris Davis, Jeff Ashlock, Mark Sparks Honorary pallbearers will be, George F. Davis, Fred Standridge, David Ashlock, Tony Ashlock, Michael Pitts, Tommy Pitts, Eric Pitts, Tom Smith, Harold Persinger, JR, Allen Harris.
Nancy
April 15, 1950 - August 31, 2021
Nancy Kay Davis, 71 of Dover, Arkansas, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was born April 15, 1950 in Chanute, Kansas to Clarence and Mary Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 33 years, Danny Davis; 3 sisters, Phyllis Sparks, Doreene Goodnight, Darline Wilson and one brother, Alonso Eugene Freeman.
She is survived by her three sisters, Louise Dickson & Fred, Ellen Ilene Pitts, Linda McMillan; Son, Douglas Poynor Jr. & Tosha; daughters, Kathrine Dovers, Thereasa Taylor, Saberina Crain; numerous nieces, nephews and several other friends and family.
Nancy loved her family. She dedicated her life to healthcare as an LPN. In her spare time she loved to fish and spend time with her girls "her cats".
Her visitation will be 5-7pm Friday, September 3, 2021 at Russellville Family Funeral. The Funeral service will be 10am Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Russellville Family Funeral officate by Pastor Chad Duvall. Burial following in McFadden Cemetery in Dover. Arrangements are under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral.
Pallbearers will be Alex Pitts, Travis Pitts, Kenneth Poynor, Doug Poynor III, Josh Taylor, Blake Taylor.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Taylor, Donald Davis, Doug Poynor Jr., Mike Pitts, Mark Sparks, Tommy Pitts, Eric Pitts.
