Troy Hugh Curtis, 92, of Dover, AR, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Mary's Regional Med Center in Russellville, AR. The son of Major and Effie Elizabeth Bolin Curtis, he was born August 29, 1924 in Bass, AR. A graduate of Mount Judea High School, he married Rachel Gregory Curtis on June 19, 1949, in Carson City, Nevada. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and He a Maintenance Machinist with U.S. Steel for 32 years. His accomplishments included being instrumental in refurbishing Camp Caudle Christian Youth Camp and was a Dover Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the year. He was a member of the Dover Volunteer Fire Department and Board member of Camp Caudle Christian Youth Camp. He was a member of the Dover Church of Christ where he was a Ministry Leader for church maintenance and grounds. He enjoyed working in his church, his family, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and five sisters.
Troy was survived by his wife, Rachel Curtis of Dover, daughter and son in law, two grandchildren, and a brother.
Funeral Service was at 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Dover Church of Christ. Bro. Micah Williams and Bro. Alan Boatright officiated. Burial was at McFadden Cemetery in Dover, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service.

February 16, 1931 - April 19, 2021

Rachel Curtis, age 90, of Dover, was lifted up to her Heavenly Home on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 16, 1931, in Pelsor, to Elmer and Myrtle Gregory.

Rachel truly loved her Lord and Savior, her church family, and had a special love and respect for the women in her Tuesday bible class. Her appetite for God's word was never satisfied and her desire to live those words was unwavering.

Without any doubt, Rachel's greatest joy and pride was being a mother, a mother who passed on her love of God, her love of gardening, the importance of giving, the value of love and kindness and so much more to her daughter, Sandra.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, Troy Hugh Curtis; daughter, Sandra Louise Boatright; sister, Janice Warren; and brother, Grady Gregory.

She is survived by two sisters, Genice (Bill) Burkhart and Donna Ann (Walter) Taylor; son-in-law, Alan Boatright; along with many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Dover Church of Christ with Bro. Micah Williams and Bro. Alan Boatright officiating with burial in McFadden Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center and Kindred Hospice for going above and beyond in the care of Mrs. Curtis. Their loving kindness will never be forgotten.
