John Farrell Best, 84 of Magnolia, AR passed away Thursday, March 31,2005 at Magnolia City Hospital. He was born March 31, 1921 in Smead, AR to the late Darrell and Elizabeth Anthony Best. He was a retired Sawmill Foreman for Anthony Forest Products. Mr. Best served in World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Irene Best of Magnolia; one son, David F. Best of Dallas, TX; Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 2, 2005 at 10:00am at Lewis Chapel in Magnolia. Bro. Richard Walters will officiate. Burial will follow in Waldo City Cemetery under direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Lewis Funeral Home Friday, April 1st from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Active Pallbearers will be Mike Love, Jerry Otwell, Bob Spear, Jimmy Dodson, Rev. Charles Murry and Scott Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robbie Johnson and J.C. Sewell. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to be made to the Salvation Army.
