Curtis W. Ridenour, 67, of Rudy died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, in a local hospital. He was a locomotive engineer for Frisco Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Masonic Lodge No. 439 Fine Springs and the Eastern Star and a former member of the Ferndale Fire Department. He was a member of the Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church and attended the 81 Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Roger Ridenour. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; five sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Carol Ridenour and Jerry and Joyce Ridenour, all of Rudy, Neal and Mendy Ridenour of Uniontown, Reid and Melanie Ridenour of Alma and Billy and Debi Ridenour of Fort Smith; a sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Mike Gilmore of Nuevo, Calif.; a brother and and sister-in-law, Dexton and Bernice Ridenour of Richmond, Va.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Bobby Newton of Sealy, Texas; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Henry Howard, Tommy Leverette, Leon Brammer, Barry Teague, Johnny Mizell and Alan Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be former workers of the Frisco Railroad and members of the Masonic Lodge No. 439 Fine Springs. Sharon A. Ridenour, 81, of Rudy passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2019. She was born July 24, 1938, in Detroit to the late Harrie and Hattie Moncrieff.

She was a retired bus driver from Alma School District and had also managed a McDonald's restaurant. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and 81 Freewill Baptist Church, had attended Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Mountainburg and she and her husband, Curtis, were foster parents many times.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis W. Ridenour; and two sons, Larry and Roger Ridenour.

She is survived by five sons, Harry Ridenour and wife Carol of Rudy, Neal Ridenour and wife Mendy of Uniontown, Reid Ridenour and companion Andrea of Alma, Billy Ridenour and wife Debi of Hackett and Jerry Ridenour and wife Joyce of Natural Dam; a sister, Donna Newton of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff members at Alma Health & Rehabilitation.
