L.C. “Curtis” Hawley, 74, of Hot Springs went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2012. He was born February 7, 1938 in Hot Springs to Louis and Christine (Meeks) Hawley. Curtis was a faithful member of The River of Life Church. Curtis was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and entertained the lunch crowd at Senior Citizen’s Center where he was a devoted volunteer. They honored him for his hard work with a banquet at The Hot Springs Country Club. He is predeceased by his father, mother and stepdad Christine and Leroy Otten, grandparents Cleve and Eunice Hawley and his special nephews, Matthew Pultz, Aaron Pultz and Ronnie Gregory. Loving survivors include his sisters, Melba King and Carolyn Sue Murders, brother Larry Gregory, special nieces Lisa Pultz, Cindy Murders and Baylee Murders, nephews Brian Murders and Chris Gregory. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J. Ben Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tony Adams, Jeff Smith, Jerry Standridge, Braden Truelove, Ed King and Robert Arguello. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Robert F. McCrary, Jr. and his staff, Dr. Patrick Dolan, Dr. James Burton, Dr. Jack Cates, Brother Clarence Mason, Ray Hood, William Brisco, Phillip Arguello, members of River of Life Church, Mercy Meals on Wheels, Senior Citizen’s Center, the transit bus drivers of routes 2 and 3, Carol Dean Hawley, Charles Hawley, Betty Parker and Crystal Harvey. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Robert F. McCrary, Jr. and his staff for their many years of dedication and care of Curtis and his family.
