*Obituary
Dakota David MacPeek went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in his home at the age of 13. He is now in heaven, reunited with his younger brother Ethan who went before him 3 Christmas's ago.

Dakota was an active young man who loved volleyball, tennis, basketball, football and track. He often said "Today is a good day to go fishing" He could fish three to five times a week and many weeks he did just that.
Dakota was a devoted sports fan. He especially loved the Alma Airedales and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He attended numerous sporting events and was known to many coaches, athletes and fans. He faithfully attended many U of A Track Competitions. He supported the athletes who went on to compete at the Summer Olympic Games, following their events and cheering them on.
Dakota was a "Ball boy" for the Alma Airedalette Volleyball Team and went on to be a manager and assistant coach. He was eager to help, never wanting to miss a game when able to go.
Dakota earned various medals as he participated in "Special Olympics" events. He was extremely proud when he won 1st Place in the wheelchair race at the Alma Track and Field Day at the Alma Airedale Track last spring.
First and foremost, Dakota knew how important it was to be a good fan. He knew that athletes need fans and he did this job well, staying with his teams win or lose.
Dakota loved ramen noodles and could eat pizza every day of the week. He loved flying helicopters, kites and his drone. He loved to play board games.

Dakota will be missed by his Parents, Don and Jeanette of the home who gave him the affectionate nick mane of "Dennis the Manace" because he loved life and knew how to live it with enthusiasm; his grandparents, Shirley and Charlie Riddle of Van Buren, AR; brothers, Josh MacPeek (Marie) of Riverside, CA, Jack MacPeek (Beth) of Russellville, AR, Gabe MacPeek (Brandee) of Alma, AR; sisters, JoAnn Crouch of Fort Smith, Molly Wahl (Eric) of Scott Air Force Base, IL, Bethany Williams of Fort Smith, AR; and Tatiana MacPeek of the home; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Ocker Chapel of Alma with interment in Mt. McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, AR under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Brant Moore, Gabe MacPeek, Nick South, Ethan Thrift, Jerry Kraus and David Wallis.
