Bernice White, 89, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Sunday, August 3, 2014. She was born January 12, 1925, at Webster Grove, Missouri. Bernice was a loving housewife and found something good in everyone. Growing up in Hot Springs, she loved the outdoors; camping, fishing and boating. She graduated from Lakeside High School and was an avid sports fan. Bernice loved watching and playing sports; bowling, golf, tennis, basketball and football, especially the Razorbacks. Bernice was predeceased by her parents Flora and James K. Hardister; her husband Sam White, Jr.; one brother Kenneth Hardister; and two sisters-in-law G. M. White and Merietta Hardister. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Miles and one granddaughter, Amber Miles both of Hot Springs; two brothers Lenord Friend of Port Orchard, Washington and J.C. Hardister of Hot Springs; one sister Ernestine Lane and husband Melvin of Shelton, Washington; one sister-in-law Patsy Hardister; one brother-in-law Billy Joe White both of Hot Springs and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery. Pallbearers include J.C. Hardister, Rodney Hardister, Brent Hardister, Jay Hadister and Andy Ragsdale.
