July 24, 1943 - February 11, 2018
Roy Dewayne “Wayne” Overton, 74, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went home on February 11, 2018. He was born July 24, 1943, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Roy Doss and Pauline (Ledbetter) Overton. Wayne was a retired Hot Springs Firefighter and President of the Riley Trail Hunting Club.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Overton; son, Steve Overton; daughter, Shiela Lynch (John); grandchildren, David Overton (Keri), Christine Pate (Tyler), and Lakyn Johnson all of Hot Springs; brothers, Harold Overton (Delores), Charles Overton (Mary) of Malvern, Larry Overton (Karen) of Owensville, Gary Overton (Fina) of Hot Springs; sisters, Shirley Morrow (Lonnie) of Lonsdale, Toni Garrett (Johnny) of Hot Springs; his beloved dog, Susie; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George Lynch officiating.
Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery.
