Dolores I. Powell, 86, of Hot Springs passed away Sunday July 20, 2014. She was born August 20, 1927 to the late Carrie Goodman Little and Charles Little in Los Angeles, California.
Dolores was a retired Administrative Assistant for Merrill Lynch and a member of Rockdale Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Brown Lee Powell and one son, Steven L. Powell.
Survivors include one son, Stuart C. Powell; two granddaughters, Darriane J. Powell and Katlyn Bullard; two grandsons, Forrest E. Powell (Cindy) and Quentin R. Powell; two great granddaughters, Shelby Powell and Brooke Powell.
Visitation will be 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM Friday July 25th at Hot Springs Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday July 26th at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Reverends Clyde Edds and Jeff Shepard officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are James E. Gill, Wayne Horman, Wayne H. Roberts, Shane Taylor, Kurt Hauser and Tsunemi Yamashita.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John W. Smith, Catherine Thornton, Floy Hassell, John M. Gill, Jamie Gill, Tressa Mote, Sam R. Powell, Dianne Sealy, Mary McGregor, Betty Fry, Martha Shuffield and Brenda Sorter.
In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Philippine Missions; contributions may be made through Rockdale Baptist Church – 117 Buffalo Gap – Jessieville, Arkansas 71949 or the charity of your choice.
