John "Doug" Henry, Sr., age 74, of Hot Springs, died Friday, June 10, 2016. He was born on July 19, 1941 in Redfield. On July 1, 1967, he married Brenda Vickers. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Henry; one brother, Horace Henry; and his paternal grandparents, John Robert and Louella Henry. Doug worked for many years as an automobile mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Henry; two sons and daughters-in-law, John, Jr. and Mista Henry and Michael and Sheree Henry, all of Hot Springs; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; one brother, David Henry of Little Rock; numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs. Interment will be in the Crestview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Ricky Vickers, Micky Vickers, Brady Covey, Chris Vickers, Casey Martineau and Shawn Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Culp and Ann Flatte. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
