Billie Ann Pittman (Sanders) lifelong resident of Hot Springs, AR, died Sunday, November 25 after a brief illness at Mercy Hospice Hospital. Billie was born March 30, 1930 in Myers, AR. She is predeceased by her mother and father, Grady and Lottie Kymes; brothers, Harold Sanders and Don Kymes.
Billie is survived by husband of 61 years, Warren N. Pittman, brother Roger Kymes (Bethel) of Hot Springs, sister, Claudette Goodwin (Henry) of Michie, TN, sister-in-law, Betty Sanders, brother-in-law, Don Pittman (Barbara) of Hot Springs and a host of nieces and nephews, great and great-great.
Billie was a member of the first graduating class of Lake Hamilton High School; she was a member of First Christian Church and worked as a dental assistant for the late Dr. Gene Harrington for 15 years. After two tours of military duty with her husband and retirement, Billie was an avid reader, loved walking and spent hours cross stitching baby blankets for every new great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Rowe, Dr. Nizar Suleman, and Dr. Thomas Hollis Jr., the staff of 4 West and ICU of Mercy Hospital, Arkansas Hospice for their loving care and service.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gross Funeral Home with interment at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers are J.R. Arnold. Jerry Mooney. Bob Floyd, Steve Kymes, Steven Kymes and Mike Flemming. Honorary pallbearers Dr. Rowe, Dr. Suleman, staff of Mercy Hospital and Arkansas Hospice.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, Salvation Army and First Christian Church.
