Tommy Ray Harris, 69, of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 near Glenwood, AR.
He was born June 3, 1942, in Murfreesboro, AR, the son of the late Johnny B and Gurtie Redwine Harris.
He was a Baptist. He was a self-employed logger. He loved hunting and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by one son, Stoney Ray Harris; one brother, Johnny Lewis Harris and one sister, Sue Canon.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Harris of Murfreesboro, AR; one son, Johnny Harris and wife, Lisa, of Murfreesboro, AR; one sister, Edna McAnelly of Shreveport, LA; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 3, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, Murfreesboro, with Bobby Golden officiating, burial in Brocktown Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, December 2, from 5:00 -7:00 P.M.

Mary Nelda Harris 69, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Glenwood, Arkansas. She was born on November 5, 1947 in Bowen, Arkansas, daughter of the late Rufus Frank and Evy Stark Stone.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, a meat market assistant at Piggly Wiggly, and a production line worker for Armor Foods. But more importantly to her family she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Ray Harris, a son Stoney Ray Harris, a great grandchild, a sister Joyce Clay, and brother Dallas Stone.
Survivors include her son Johnny Harris of Murfreesboro, AR; grandson Jonathan Harris, two granddaughters Ashtin Harris Hamilton, and Bailey Harris Friend; great grandsons Brodix Hamilton, Carson Hamilton, and Easton Ray Friend; One brother Joe Jerry Stone of El Dorado, AR; five sisters Billy Lockeby, Cleon King, Linda Stone, Minda May of Delight, AR; and Carloyn Quinney of Gurdon, AR. As well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held December 16, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Shawn Hill officiating, burial was in Brocktown Cemetery, Pike County, Arkansas under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Pallbearers were David Canon, James Canon, Phil Harris, Miles Reid, Clint Stone, Travis White, Bobby Roberts, Gary McAnelly.
