*Obituary
Bessarabia Gentry, 53, of Elmore city died Wednesday at Rudy, Arkansas. She was vice mayor, a councilwoman and a police commissioner for Elmore city. She also was president of the Poor Boys C.B. Club and a Baptist.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma chapel. Burial was at Mount McCurry at Ruday, Arkansas with arrangements under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter; one brother; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her nephews.
