Valeria “Mother Val” M. Kraus, of Hot Springs, passed away September 29, 2015. She was born January 20, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Valeria (Premula) Pajkos. Valeria worked for AT&T in the business office before retiring in Hot Springs. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles F. Kraus; five brothers; one sister; and companion Jerry Thacker. Mother Val is survived by her brother Stanley Pajkos (Geraldine) of Chicago; nephews and nieces; loving step-son and caregiver Richard Thacker (Kelly); Richards children, Justin, Tyler and Jordyn; and his brothers, nieces and nephews; as well as a host of loving friends and family members. A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the following: Dr. Matthew Hulsey and the Glenwood Family Practice, The staff at NPMC, Health Star House Calls (Kay Lynn), Care IV Home Health (Mark, Cassie, Lee, Tammy), Hospice Home Care (Mary, Mellissa, Cynthia, Taylor, Justy), and Father George Sanders. We thank you for the love and professionalism you showed in caring for Mother Val.
