Pearl Mabel McCary Pike was born February 24, 1928 in Green Forest, Arkansas. She passed away on March 20, 2022 at 94 years old.

She lived a full life. She never worked outside the home. She raised five kids, had broiler farms in which she raised chickens and helped her husband run one of the very first sheetrock businesses in the area. All of which filled her days and kept her very busy.

Scattered throughout those years came 14 grandkids. Grandma Pearl was known for her apple butter, which to this day can’t be copied. She gave lessons but none ever compared to hers. And you never left grandma Pearl’s without something crocheted.

She was an avid crocheter. She filled countless hours with crochet hooks in her hands. As she aged, and Alzheimer’s took its toll, she still knew how to crochet. Her husband Lee used to say she could crochet blindfolded. She crocheted until the end.

One of her cherished highlights of late was being baptized at the ripe young age of 88. Her brother did the honor’s, surrounded by the entire family. It was truly a day to remember. Her love for the Lord was evident and this day was certainly the cherry on top.

She loved company and cherished visits with her kids, their spouses, her 14 grandkids, 31 great grandkids, and 16 great-great grandkids. She was truly blessed and we were blessed by her.

She was married to her husband, Lee Pike, for 66 years, who preceded her in death, along with her parents, two brothers, and one great grandson.

She’s survived by daughter, Virginia (Jim) Whitten; son, Gene (Carolyn) Pike; son, Monte (Sandy) Pike; daughters, Mary (Lewis) Spinks and Vivian Dye.

She was a true pearl, a real gem of a person who will be dearly missed.
