Bobby Gene Winkler, 76, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was a retired tool and die maker for Whirlpool in Fort Smith. He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1956-57.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randall Ray officiating with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda Winkler of the home; one daughter, Twana Welch of Fort Smith; one son, Steve Winkler and wife Lana of Fort Smith; two grandchildren, Christopher Welch and Krisanglea Welch of Fort Smith; five brothers, Willis Winkler of Lincoln, Floyd Winkler of Siloam Springs, Paul Winkler of Oklahoma City, Hugh Winkler of Summers and Jimmy Winkler of Prairie Grove.
Pallbearers will be David Hardt, Greg Hardt, Christopher Welch, Willis Winkler, Floyd Winkler, Jimmy Winkler and Hugh Winkler.

Frieda Leona Winkler, 78 of Van Buren passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 in a local nursing home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Winkler; her parents Thomas and Martha (Fiser) Septer.
She is survived by her daughter Twana Collinson and husband Joseph of Fort Smith; a son Steve Winkler and wife Lana of Fort Smith; two grandchildren Christopher Welch and wife Caitlyn of Van Buren and Krisangela Welch of Fort Smith; one sister Joni Bemis of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers Keith Septer of Van Buren and Lloyd Septer of North Little Rock.
Funeral will be 11AM Monday, February 1, 2021 at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Collinson, Christopher Welch and Greg Hardt.
