John W. Taylor, 86, of Lawson died Monday at his home following a lengthy illness. Born July 2, 1881, in Alma, Mo., he was the son of William J. and Mary Magness Taylor. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mae Leuallen Tyalor of Lawson, a step-daughter, Miss Patsy Leuallen Lawson; a brothers, W. M. Taylor, Fremont, Neb.; and a sister, Mrs. Oda Brown, Willis, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lawson Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Pritchard officiating. The Rev. Ralph Mann will assist. Burial will be in Centerpoint Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the family home in Lawson at noon Tuesday. (El Dorado Times - June 11, 1968)
