Donal D. Webb, 80, of Van Buren passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of September 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospice in Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was surrounded by his loving family including his daughter, niece and nephew.
Don was born June 26, 1933 in Waldron, Arkansas to Archie Lee and Ona Victoria "John Henry" Webb.

He was the fifth of six children. Don joined the Navy after graduating from Waldron High School where he was a letterman in baseball and football. After he completed his tour of duty he graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor's degree in Education. He then graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master's Degree in Education and later completed an advanced degree in Education Administration.

Don was a retired public school administrator, retiring as the Superintendent of Hackett Public Schools. He began his career teaching at with the Van Buren Public School district before moving to Alma Public Schools. He then married Pat and they moved to Gurlock, Nevada to teach and coach there. They returned to the South and taught at Shell City, Missouri before teaching and coaching stints at Lincoln and Cedarville Public Schools. Don then became the High School Principal at Mountainburg Public Schools for several years before becoming the Superintendent at Hackett Public Schools before retiring in 1991. He educated and coached young minds for 30 years. One of his greatest joys was seeing his students be successful. He was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge #6. He was a football, basketball referee and baseball umpire for many years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, Razorback fan and Cardinal fan. He was always there to provide a steady, strong influence for his family, friends, students, staffs, and even strangers. He loved life and all of his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years Pat Cluck Webb; both his parents, three brothers Wayne Webb, Lee Webb, Jeff Webb.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with Masonic honors burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren with military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by his daughter Patti Ann Webb of Van Buren, who adored, loved and admired her dad; His dogs Mojo and Jackson; two sisters, Modena Glidewell of Fort Smith and Juanita Walker of Van Buren; one sister in law Tonia Holleman of Van Buren, four nieces, Stephanie Sharp of Fort Smith and Vikki Nicholas of Baytown, TX, Sheri Tredwell of Florida, Karen Wiess of Washington State; three nephew, Mike Webb of Fort Smith, Gary Walker of Cypress, TX and Phillip Webb of Washington State and multiple grandnieces and nephews.

Pat Webb 73 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Monday, March 23, 2009 in a local hospital. She was a graduate of University of Arkansas having obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a retired teacher and counselor at Van Buren High School for 26 years and had 42 years experience as an educator. She was a member of Eastern Star and a longtime resident of Crawford County.

She is survived by her husband, of the home; one daughter, of Mississippi; one sister, of Van Buren; two sister-in-law's,of Fort Smith; of Van Buren; one niece, and her husband, both of Lawrenceville, GA.; one grand nephew, of Lawrenceville, GA., and her beloved dogs, Mojo & Jackson.
