Loyd Alvin Thornbrugh, 89, of Rudy died Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, in a local hospital.
He was an owner and operator of Precision Machine Shop, member of Cedarville First Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by both parents, William and Emma Farley Thornbrugh.
Graveside service with military honors will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charlene Sterling Thornbrugh of the home; a daughter, Pamela Kay Palmer of West Fork; a son, Mark A. Thornbrugh of Rudy; a sister, Mary Scherer of Rudy; a brother, Warren Thornbrugh of Bartlesville, Okla.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Leo Palmer, Pat Uselton, Nathan Thornbrugh, Aaron Thornbrugh, Mike Scherer and Jacob Brown.

Charlene Sterling Thornbrugh, 93 of Rudy died Sunday, December 11, 2011 in a local hospital.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Cedarville Baptist Church, a longtime resident of Crawford County, faith and family were her whole life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Thornbrugh and her parents, Chester and Lois Sterling.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Palmer and husband, Melvin of West Fork, Arkansas and one son, Mark Thornbrugh and wife, Linda of Rudy, Arkansas; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday December 15th 2011 at 2:00pm at Gracelawn Arbor in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren. Pastor Chris Sims will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
