James Andrew Jolley, Jr. 85, of Little Rock passed away on December 28, 2016. He was born February 5, 1931 in Lufkin, Texas to James Andrew Jolley, Sr. and Hazel Vickers Jolley. He was known to most by the name Jay.

Jay was a loving and giving husband and father. He enjoyed singing, music and contributing to the success of others. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View where he enjoyed singing in the choir and in men’s ensemble. Jay was an ordained Baptist minister. For the majority of his working career he was an Abstracter as the owner of Muzzy Abstract Company and later school bus driver for the Mountain View School District. His hobby was being a sports announcer, the “Voice of the Jackets”, at Mountain View home football games.

Jay is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanette Jones and Estelle Sherrod; brothers, Edwin Sullivan and James H. Jolley; and son, Jeffrey Edwin Jolley. James is survived by his wife, Yolande Roberta Muzzy Jolley; son, James Robert Jolley; daughter-in-law, Diane Jolley; brother, Charles Jolley; and grandchildren, Trent Allan and Andrew Vitaliy Jolley.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 7, 2017 with funeral services at 11:00 A.M., both at First Baptist Church, 224 King Ave., Mountain View, AR 72560. Burial will follow at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Kidney Fund or to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. The recommended lodging for those coming from out of town is the Pinewood Cabins in Mountain View.
