Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Marilyn Sue Hopson, 72, of Bonnerdale, passed away April 14, 2013. She was born November 26, 1940 in Gravelly, Arkansas to John and Gertrude Kitchens. Marilyn enjoyed being with her grandchildren, fishing, sewing, arts and crafts. She is predeceased by her parents, brother, Rudolph Tarkington and two infant brothers. Loving survivors include her husband, Willis Hopson, of Bonnerdale; son, Farrell (Kimberly) Hopson, of Pearcy; daughter, Denise (Wayne) Hartin, of White Hall; sister, Helen (Woodrow) Walters, of Sheridan; and sister, Wana (Winson) Sanders, of Bristol, Virginia. Marilyn is also survived by her precious grandchildren, Nicholas (Mckayla) Schwartz, Savannah Schwartz, Stevie Hopson, and Jacob Hartin; and great-grandson, Liam Schwartz, who affectionately called her Nanny. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Teddy Frye officiating. Pallbearers are Tony Sandage, Keith Sandage, Myron Short, Steve Walters, Mike Tarkington and Denny Goodsen. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. P. K. Reddy and Staff at the Mercy Cancer Center, the Staff of 4-west at Mercy Hospital, Dr. Kyle Roper and Staff, and Arkansas Hospice. Guest register is www.caruth-hale.com.
