Mamie Leona "Testerman" Staab, 84, of Van Buren went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in Van Buren after her battle with Alzheimer's and other related illnesses.
Mamie was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Winslow.
She married the love of her life, Stanley Staab, on April 1, 1949, in Sunray, Texas. Mamie and Stanley raised four daughters and a niece in the Dora community. She was a member of Dora Assembly of God, where she at one time was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher and was a longtime member of Post 1322 of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Van Buren Veterans of Foreign Wars and TOPS.
Mamie was proceeded in death by her parents, T.J. and Vicki Testerman; her husband, Stanley; one daughter, Nancy Barrow; three grandsons, Michael Edwards, Leslie Barrow Jr. and Eric Barrow; sisters, Wanda Briley and Iona Wilson; and brothers, Harold, Bill, Victor and Jerry Don Testerman.
Mamie is survived by three daughters, Linda Roedenbeck and husband Bill of Stilwell, Okla., Cathy Middleton and husband Burley of Sallisaw and Diana Sowells and husband William of Dora; a special niece, Debbie Short and husband Randy of Marlin, Texas; son-in-law, Leslie Barrow Sr. of Canton, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, Stanley Roedenbeck, Kelly Rodery, Miranda Goins, Logan Middleton, Phillip Sowells, Brandee Gray, Zack Sowells, Dan Short, Justin Short, Jennifer Fortner and Julie Belk; and 12 great-grandchildren, Laynie Roedenbeck, Hadlee Rodery, Kaleb Gray, Kari Gray, Adam Sowells, Noah Sowells, Micaela Winters, Michael Goins, Lauren Fortner, Megan Fortner, Braden Belk and Addison Belk. Mamie is also survived by two sisters, Geraldine Alls of Albuquerque, N.M., and Polly Brammer of Rudy; and one brother, Paul David Testerman of Van Buren.
Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Mason Sr. and the Rev. Bobby Mason Jr. officiating.
Interment will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers for "Granny/MeMe" will be her grandsons.
The family will visit with friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson St., Van Buren.
