Louie Edward Bright
Faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Louie Edward Bright, 93, entered into the Church Triumphant Saturday evening, January 5, 2013.
Louie was born December 22, 1919 near Bonnerdale, Arkansas to Thomas Bright and Cynthia Ann (Buck) Bright.
On October 8, 1939, Louie married the love of his life, Inez (Goss) Bright. Their marriage of nearly 67 years was truly blessed in so many ways.
Louie, a part of "The Greatest Generation," honorably served his nation in the Pacific Campaign during World War II. His last station of the war was on Tinian Island where he witnessed the departure of the aircraft on the bombing missions that help bring the Pacific War to an end.
Upon his return from the war, Louie began his career of work in the automobile service industry with the Hot Springs Chevrolet dealership. He became the "go to guy" for the particularly tough repair problems. After 39 years at the dealership, at the celebration of his retirement, Louie was recognized for his "dedicated and efficient service to the motoring public."
Louie was a dedicated servant of the Lord. He was a Founding Member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church and was a Deacon at Central Baptist Church.
Louie was preceded in death by his wife, Inez; parents Thomas Bright and Cynthia Bright; infant daughter Nancy; grandson Wesley Bright; half-brother Andrew Davis; half-sister Virginia Davis; sister Leola Cavnor; sister Viola Berry.
Louie is survived by three children, Warren Bright and wife Beverly of Houston, Texas; Carl Bright of Pearcy; Teresa Nye and husband Chuck of Olympia, Washington. He is also survived by granddaughters Lucy Bright of Hot Springs; Bonnie Bright Threadgill and husband Warren of Dallas, Texas; Emily Nye Hoos and husband David of Moscow, Idaho; Audrey Nye of Olympia, Washington; Erin Bright DeRossitt and husband Evan of Hot Springs. Great-grandchildren, Wesley, Brynley and Brant Threadgill of Dallas, Texas.
The family will receive condolences today, January 8, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Gross Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at the Gross Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 1:00 p.m.
