Marion Arndt, age 90, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
She was born on August 5, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of George LeRoy Peterson and Ida Mathilda Tendall Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Arndt; her parents; and one sister, Nora Murphy.
Marion was Lutheran in faith. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, seamstress and was a great cook. She had great spunk and sense of humor. Marion was very devoted to her family and they were the most important thing in her life.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Terry Arndt of Providence Village, Texas, Ron and Monica Arndt of Jones, Oklahoma and David and Susie Arndt of San Antonio, Texas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Stan Rowe of San Diego, California, Jackie and Mike Waganer of Naples, Florida, Debbie and Mike Tripp of Crystal Springs and Sandee and Byron Yancey of Hot Springs; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Wendell "Pete" and Jane Peterson of Lake Barrington, Illinois; two sisters, Doris Heramb of San Diego, California and Ruth Dewitz of Muskego, Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Banzer of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. John Graves officiating.
Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening.
Pallbearers will be Terry Arndt, Ron Arndt, David Arndt, Corey Montgomery, Mike Tripp and Byron Yancey.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Garrett Manor and the staff of Arkansas Hospice Inpatient at CHI St. Vincent, Hot Springs.
