James Walter Sexton, 80, of Van Buren died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired furniture dealer and a member of Sunnyside Assembly of God.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Ocker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; a daughter, Carolyn Paredes of Holister, Calif.; five sons, James Wendell Sexton of Holister, Calif., David, Rick and Steve Sexton, all of Van Buren, and Darrell Sexton of Richmond, Texas; three sisters, Edna Moore and Betty Brown, both of Holister, Calif., and Geneva Ferrell of Salinas, Calif.; a brother, Paul Sexton of Salinas, Calif.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Travis, David, Darrell, Rick, Steve and James Wendell Sexton.

Minnie Sexton, 90 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in a local hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sunnyside Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sexton.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Ivelich of Holister, CA; four sons, James W. Sexton of Fernley, NV., Darrell Sexton of Richmond, TX, Rick & Steve Sexton of Van Buren; one sister, Hazel Pitchford of Van Buren; one brother, Curits Drum of Pocola, OK.

Funeral service will be Saturday, December 22nd, 2012, 10:00am at Ocker Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
