Grace Mae Matlock Schaible, 106 of Kilgore, Texa, died Thursday, September 11, 1997 in Kilgore.
She was born July 3, 1891 in Short Oklahoma.
She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and Arkansas State Normal School now known as the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. She taught school in Rena for 8 years.
She was a homemaker and active in church and community activities, until her health failed.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Kilgore and a former member of Wood Memorial Christian Church in Van Buren.
She was the widow of Roy Schaible.
She was survived by one daughter, Virginia Wallace of Kilgore; one granddaughter, Carol Westbrook of Frisco, Texas; one grandson, Roy Wallace of Riverview, Florida; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at First Christian Church in Kilgore with graveside services at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
