*Obituary
Jewell Ridenour, 92, was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ, her maker, to her glorious place in eternity. We rejoice as she is reunited with her loved ones, especially her husband of 60 years, Quentin "QR" Roosevelt, who left her behind on Feb. 24, 2000. Jewell lived in the beautiful Savannah Cove Nursing Home, in Maitland, Fla., for her last four years. Even at 92 years, Jewell helped lead Bible studies and sang praise and worship hymns for her fellow residents every week. Fewer than 10 days before her passing, she visited the Atlantic Ocean, one of her favorite places, and was the special guest of honor at her birthday party the following day. She prayed for and blessed many, many people and she will be missed.

Jewell died peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, July 17, 2011, with her son, daughter and son-in-law, by her side. She was born on July 8, 1919, in Van Buren to parents, Garland and Virgie Sagely. For over a decade, she was a prayer group director along with her husband, QR, at Oral Roberts Ministry in Tulsa. She was a charter member of Friendly Pentecostal Church of God in Van Buren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Quentin R. Ridenour; both parents, Garland and Virgie (Berry) Sagely; and two brothers, John C. Sagely and Kenneth Sagely.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Virginia Johnson of Winter Park, Fla.; one son, Garland Ridenour of Little Rock; two brothers, Maurice Sagely of Van Buren and Floyd Sagely of Fort Smith; and two granddaughters, Carolyn Ridenour and Rachel Ridenour, both of Dallas.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Maurice and Floyd Sagely, Garland Ridenour, Bart Johnson and Kenny, Johnny and Floyd Sagely Jr.
