Funeral services for Mrs. Vallie Riddle, 65, of Rt. 1, were conducted Friday afternoon at the Concord Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Alfred Duncan, pastor, and the Rev. S.A. Haley, officiating. Burial was at Gracelawn cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Riddle was born at Alma, Arkansas on September 2, 1897 to the late C. C. and Mille Lee Smith Rogers.
Mrs. Riddle died November 28, 1962 at her home after a long illness. She was a member of the Hollywood Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.
Survivors include her husband D. A. Riddle, who operated Maywood Park in Van Buren, two sons; Ray Riddle of Van Buren, and Ralph of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Viola of Memphis, Mary Lee of Memphis and Claudia of Van Buren; three brothers, C.C. Rogers, Dude Rogers and Clyde Rogers all of Van Buren; and 12 grandchildren.
