Jimmie Paul Hixon, age 83, of Poyen passed away December 24, 2020. He was born August 10, 1937 in El Dorado, AR to Nelson and Edris Imagene Taylor Hixon. Jimmie worked for Hydro Conduit and was a member of Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran and on the Poyen Veteran’s Memorial Committee. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laveta Hixon; son, Paul; daughter, Regina Jo Webb; granddaughter, Courtney Jo Webb and brother, Howard Hixon.

Survivors include his brother, Wayne Hixon; sister-in-law, Hazel Hixon of Donaldson; daughter-in-law, Karen Andrews of Poyen; grandchildren, Corey Webb, April Hixon, Scott and Kellie Canada; great-grandchildren, Spencer and Kara Webb and Joseph and Joshua Canada and his brother in law, Bob Speer.

Graveside services will Tuesday, December 29 at 2:00pm at the Poyen Veteran’s Memorial Pavilion. Pallbearers will be members of the Poyen Veteran’s Memorial Committee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Poyen Missionary Church or Poyen Veteran’s Memorial in c/o Jewell Dean Walker, 40 Walker Lane, Poyen AR 72128.

Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
