Sharon Horton, age 69, of Traskwood, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was born February 20, 1948 in Malvern to the late Rufus Fred and Hassie Bell (Williams) Southerland. She attended Traskwood Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Poyen High School in 1965. She worked as a civil service secretary. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Horton, and sister Emogene Ballard.

Survivors are her son Steve Horton (Misti) of Malvern, daughters Janna Burkett (Teddy), and Sherry Ritchie (Lee) both of Traskwood, brother Noble Southerland of Foreman, and Virginia Priebe of Poyen, grandchildren Josh, Ryan, Kyle, Shane, Rebecca, Lily and Levi, great-grandchildren Adisen, Rylan, Carson, Sterling, Avery and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018, 6:00-8:00 pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Dennis George and Brother James Floydofficiating. Burial will be at Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Farber, Ryan Burkett, Kyle Ritchie, Shane Ritchie, Levi Horton and Jordan Sharp.
