Warren G. Reed, 86 of Alma, AR died Monday, August 23, 2010 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was retired from Diamond Shamrock, a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren and a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Jean Reed and a son, Warren G. Reed Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Opal Reed of Alma, AR; one daughter, Emma Hoffman and husband, Richard both of Alma, AR; two granddaughters, Michelle Grizzle & husband Stephen of Van Buren, AR and Kimberly Pickard and husband Buddy of Ft. Smith, AR; two great granddaughters, Amber Hoffman and Rebekkah Hodges.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Ocker Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Johnson officiating.

Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

Pallbearers were Richard Hoffman, Stephen Grizzle, Steve Hodges, Buddy Pickard, Jim Smith and Ronnie Milsap.

Opal Reed, 82, of Alma died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, in Alma.
She was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to the late Edd Blaney and Myrtle Jones.

She was a homemaker and a member and former Sunday school teacher at First Assembly of God in Van Buren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Reed of sixty three years; a son, Warren Jr.; a daughter, Eva Jean and four sisters, Ettie Blaney, Ester Blaney, Vivia Teague and June Scarberry.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

She is survived by a daughter, Emma Hoffman and husband Richard of Alma; two grand- daughters, Michelle Grizzle and companion Richard Dye of Alma, Kimberly Pickard of Georgetown, Illinois; two great granddaughters, Amber Hoffman and Rebekkah Hodges of Alma; four sisters, Mary Lott of Fayetteville, Ruby Steers of Clinton, Betty Price and husband Cleadus of Bee Branch and Sue Hoyle and husband Nathaniel of Bee Branch.

Pallbearers will be Richard Hoffman, Steve Hodges, Richard Dye, Ronnie Millsap, Cleadus Price and Robert Burris.
