Gary M. Pendergraft, 64, of Van Buren went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2005.
He was born April 29, 1940, in Springdale. Gary was a loving husband, father and devoted grandpa.

He was a retired business owner of Cardinal Embroidery and Days Gone By Antique Mall and former manager for Jones Truck Lines. He was an active deacon at First Baptist Church in Alma and a former deacon of Windsor Park Baptist and Haven Heights Baptist. He was also a founding board member of Fort Smith Christian School.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Alma under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of nearly 45 years, Jessica; daughter, Becky Glasgow and husband Mike of Van Buren; son, Randy and wife Michelle of Alma; grandchildren, Dexter, Dalton and Drake Pendergraft of Alma, Jessica and Kaitlyn Glasgow of Van Buren, Jennifer Glasgow of Muskogee, Okla., and Cali Milks and husband Daniel of Greenwood. Sisters, Aureta Mitchell and husband Al of Fort Worth, Texas, Nancy Davis and husband Terry of Jenks, Okla., Kathy Chamberlain and husband Don of Wagoner, Okla. Twin brother, Gordon Pendergraft of Tulsa, brothers, Travis and wife Margaret of Jenks, Okla., and John and wife Sharon of Belle Plain, Kan. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Travis, and mother, Nancy; and one sister, Patricia Chapin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Lewis, W.L. Youngblood, Ron Haught, Joe Cloven, Roger Rickard, Wesley Warnock, Larry Ruth, John Hoffman, Fred Stockton, Larry Tapp, Jerry Osborne, Clovis Satterfield, Kenneth Hanna and Scott Peters.
