Wayne Parks, 57, of Van Buren died Tuesday, September 24, 1991 in a Fort Smith hospital.
He was born April 27, 1934 to R.S. and Morene Smith Parks in Van Buren.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Van Buren First Baptist Church and Van Buren Masonic Lodge No. 6.

He was survived by his wife, Peggy; a daughter, Debbie Garner of Van Buren; two sons, Mike of Marietta, Ga., and Jim Ray of Van Buren; his parents, R.S. "Dieg" and Morene both of Van Buren; a brother, Bobby of Searcy; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Peggy Parks, 82, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, in her home.
She was born March 30, 1934, in Van Buren to the late Floyd and Virginia Smith.

She was a loan officer and branch manager of First Federal Bank and was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren. She loved to travel with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Parks.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Garner and husband DeWayne of Van Buren; two sons, James Parks and wife Rita of Hackett, Mike Parks and wife Judy of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Leslie Morlen, Ashley Parks, Jesse Macy, Kris Parks; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Bobby Parks. Burial will be private at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
