May 7, 1924 - January 14, 2014
Ralph Edwin Patterson, 89, of Alma passed away Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in Van Buren.
He was a native of Uniontown and a retired self-employed barber for more than 32 years in Van Buren. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, receiving two purple hearts and one Bronze Star. He attended New Heights Baptist Church in Alma.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robbye (Plum) Patterson; one daughter, Cheryl Patterson; two sisters; and four brothers.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial with military honors at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren with the Rev. Jimmy Morrison officiating.
He is survived by one son, Gary Patterson of Alma; one grandson, Rick Patterson and wife Beth of Van Buren; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Hannah Patterson of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will Allen Gossett, Danny Johnson, Denny Snow, George Trimmell, Mark Gentry and Mike Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Plum Jr., Randy Plum, Jack Blevins, Hunter Chambes and Curtis Harris.

November 26, 1926 - October 4, 2013
Robbye Faye Patterson, 86 of Alma passed away Friday, October 04, 2013 in a local hospital. She was a homemaker; a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church in Alma. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Patterson; both parents, Roy & Ethel Plum.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph Patterson; one son, Gary Patterson of Alma; one brother, Roy Plum, Jr. of Alma; one grandson, Rick Patterson & wife, Beth of Van Buren; two great grandchildren, Logan & Hanna Patterson of Van Buren.
Family will visit with relatives & friends Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2-4 P.M. at Ocker Funeral Home 700 Jefferson Street, Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Rick Patterson, Logan Patterson, Junior Plum, Mark Gentry, Robert Spearman, Randy Coleman.
