Services for Frank Neal, Sr, 83-years-old well-known former Crawford County peace office, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Ocker Memeorial Chapel with the Rev. Rupert Pixley officiating. Burial was in Gracelawn Cemetery with Ocker Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Neal, a life-long resident of this country, died Saturday at a Fort Smith, Arkansas nursing home.

He was born in Cedarville, Arkansas to the son of the late Elzie and Electra Rains Neal, both members of pioneer Crawford County families. His home residence at the time of his death was 407 North 20th Street, Van Buren, Arkansas.

His wife was Clara Lynn Neal, who passed away in 1974 after having served as a deputy under five different Crawford County sheriff's includig Albert Maxey. Lelan Moore, Clarence Bushmaier, Tommy Wilbanks and Bill Vickery.

He also served at one time as a member of the Van Buren Police Department.
