Crawford County,
Arkansas

December 9, 1962 - January 1, 2016

Jack Lee Nielsen was born on December 9, 1962 in Harrisonville, Missouri to the late John Alfred Nielsen and to the late Marguerite Polen Nielsen. It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jack Lee Nielsen shares the news of Jack’s passing on Friday, January 1, 2016.

Jack was the beloved brother of both Mary Ruth Keltz of Vancouver, Washington, and Jan Katrina Nielsen and her husband, Roger Jeremiah, both of Little Rock, and the cherished uncle of Jan’s and Roger’s children, Meredith Nielsen Jeremiah of Little Rock, Hannah Nielsen Jeremiah, a student in Baltimore, Maryland, and Nathaniel Nielsen Jeremiah, a student in Providence, Rhode Island.

Since his childhood Jack had lived north of Van Buren and grew up to work as a cattleman and a trader. Jack is remembered by his family, and by countless friends whom he loved like family, as creative, funny, smart and good hearted, and always ready to help someone else.

Jack’s family would like to express their profound gratitude to Jack’s friends, Sean Evans, Cody Fisher and Benny Smith, for their care and support, especially during Jack’s final days.

A Service of Celebration of the Life of Jack Lee Nielsen will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11 AM at the City Heights United Methodist Church in Van Buren, Arkansas followed by interment at Gracelawn Cemetery.
