Bill Norvell, Jr. 84 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Monday, August 9, 2010 at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was a retired Fireman of Fort Smith and an Executive Director of several Boys & Girls Club of America & a member of the Boy's & Girl's Club Alumni & Hall of Fame, a member of the New Bethel Methodist Church in Van Buren.
He was a veteran of WWII & the Korean Wars with the Army & Merchant Marines.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie (Chico) Norvell.

Graveside Funeral services were held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Gracelawn Cemetery with Rev. Jim Brooks officiating.

Jessie Chico Norvell, 75, of Van Buren died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, in a local hospital.

She was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Graveside service was held Wednesday at Gracelawn Cemetery Arbor under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Norvell of the home; two daughters, Linda Hill and Jo Ann Jordan, both of Van Buren; a son, Ronald Norvell of Fort Smith; a brother, Richard Dorrough of Van Buren; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
