Dwight L Morland, 85 of Fort Smith passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 in a local hospital.

He was the owner of Southwestern Glass Company and former manager of Thomas Industries.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Bessie Morland, son-in-law Brad McKown and three brothers Freeman, Carney and Huey Morland.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Thursday March 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Virginia of the home; two daughters Terry Schoeppe and her husband Harl and Karen McKown both of Fort Smith; one son Charles Morland and wife Susan of Barling; two sisters June Lott and Sarah Ruiz and one brother James Morland all of Van Buren; special friend Joseph Guo of China; six grandchildren Chris Morland and his wife Krista of Fort Smith, Casey McKinley and husband Robin of Fort Smith, Daniel Morland and wife Cara of Bentonville, Taylor Schoeppe of Fort Smith, Matthew McKown and his wife Rachel of Little Rock, Austin McKown and his wife Tamara of Fort Smith; seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Chris Morland, Casey McKinley, Daniel Morland, Taylor Schoeppe, Matthew McKown and Austin McKown.
