He was the son of Herbert Dewey and helen Audry (Patterson) Moore. He was a retired insurance adjuster. Warren was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margie Stokes and her husband, Carl. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Greg Tener, Phil McGehee officiating. Interment at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gracelawn Memorial Park in Van Buren, Ark.

Roxanna R. Moore of Poteau, Oklahoma died Thursday, October 6, 2011 in Stroud, Oklahoma.
She was born November 9, 1924 in Cane Hill, Arkansas to Thomas W. Burgess and Mellie Melvina (Baugh) Burgess.

Roxie was raised in Van Buren and married Warren D Moore on August 14, 1943, in Douglas, AZ. Warren, Roxie and the kids moved to Poteau in 1963 from Stillwater, and joined the First United Methodist Church at that time. Roxie and Warren were expert bridge players and were fortunate enough to find kindred spirits in the life-long friends they made in Poteau.

Roxie's greatest joy was her family. She found a true partner in Warren and they were blessed to have 65 years together.. Her children, grandchildren, and...most recently...her great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Naomi Rapier, Geneve Daugherty, and Ola Mae Cameron, and two brothers, Ernest and Joe Burgess.

She is survived by two sons, Ken Moore and his wife Mary Alice of Burton, MI, and Dr. Tim Moore and his wife Kathy, of Stroud, OK, and a daughter, Sheryl Semore and her husband Lee, of Norman, OK.; two sisters, Peggy Baber and her husband James of Bella Vista, AR, and Robbie Toothaker and her husband, Jack of Van Buren, AR; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 10th 2011 at 11:00am at Gracelawn Arbor at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren with Reverend Justin Allen officiating.
