Otis Lee Monday, 87, of Van Buren died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in his home.

He was a retired model builder for the automotive industry, a former resident of Detroit, a 20-year resident of Van Buren, a World War II Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He was one of eight children, having five brothers and two sisters.

Graveside service was at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by his bride of 61 years, Aileen of the home; a sister, Joyce Swan of Evansville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Smith, Darrel McClure, Sam Oliver, Shannon Miller, Mark Roberson and Harlan Wagnon.

Aileen May Monday, 90 of Van Buren, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 in a local nursing home.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Van Buren. She was preceded by her husband, Otis Lee Monday.

She is survived by one sister, Vashtie McCrary of Lubbock, Texas; several nieces and nephews including, Jim & Laura Smith and Margaret Ann & Jan McClure all of Van Buren and Martha Beam of Fort Smith.

Funeral service was Wednesday December 22nd 2010 at 2:00pm at Ocker Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Jan McClure, Rickey McClure, Sam Oliver and Dan Beam.
