Orville McDaniel, 82, of Van Buren, died Friday, April 2, 2010 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born May 20, 1927 in Crawford County to Edward and Lydia McDaniel.

He was the owner of McDaniel Construction, a retired truck driver for Arkhola Sand & Gravel, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eula Mae McDaniel.

He is survived by three sons, Steve McDaniel, Brad McDaniel, and Randy McDaniel and wife Lisa, all of Van Buren; three grandchildren, Tracy Coney of Orlando, Florida, Casee McDaniel of Fort Smith and Paige McDaniel of Van Buren; and two great-grandchildren, Stormy Hewitt of Orlando, and Ryan Champeaux of Fort Smith.

Funeral service was Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Brad Boster, Brent Boster, Bryan McDaniel and Roger Spangler. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Goines and Gene Spangler.

Mrs. McDaniel was retired from Sears & Roebuck. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Orville McDaniel of the home, three sons, Steve, Brad & Randy McDaniel all of Van Buren, One sister, Carol Ascheman of Cloantarf, MN., One brother, Gene Spangler of Fort Smith, three granddaughters, Tracy Coney of Orlando, FL., Casee & Paige McDaniel both of Van Buren, one great granddaughter, Stormy Hewitt of Van Buren.
Pallbearers: Russ, Bryan, Shannon Daniels, Roger & Shannon Spandler, Charlie Goines
