Vashtie Meadors McCrary, 89, of Lubbock, Texas passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 in Lubbock. Born on July 18, 1922 to Charles and Bessie Meadors, she was a wonderful homemaker for 59 years after working in New Orleans for a few years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack T. McCrary; daughter Linda Kay McCrary (14); and five older sisters.
Her memorial service will be held at Redbud Baptist church at 2 p.m. Wednesday May 4th. Her burial service will be held May 7th at Gracelawn Cemetary in Van Buren, Ark. under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Wilson; son-in-law, Gary Wilson; and two granddaughters, Cathy Wilson of Lubbock and Lori Wilson of St. Louis, Mo.
