BELLA VISTA — Maxine Marjorie Sudduth, 79, of Bella Vista died March 26, 2004, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Hartford, S.D., to William H. and Emma Kling Gabriel. She attended school at Hartford and Sioux Falls, S.D. She was a former resident of California, Oregon, Washington and Hilo, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Edmunds, She moved to Bella Vista and married John H. Sudduth in March 1991. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church and the women's organizations and was trained in the first class of Stephens Ministers commissioned at the church. Her hobbies included crocheting and collecting dolls.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Sudduth of Bella Vista, two sisters, Helen Gillett of San Diego, Calif., and Irene Auten of Fresco, Texas; one brother, Ray Gabriel of Sioux Falls; eight stepchildren, Kay, Jerry, Jim, Danny, Dale, Cathy Sue, Rick and Francie; several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista with Ben Viet, Richard Jebsen and Fred Schaap officiating.
Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home.
