B. L. (Bill) Holder, 87, of Fort Smith passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, in Fort Smith.
He was born September 11, 1924 in Fort Smith to the late Charles H. and Nola B. Johnson Holder.

He was a math teacher from 1957-1986 at Westark now the University of Arkansas Fort Smith. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Builders Sunday School Class and the Pacesetters. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Jewel Mae Holder.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Roebuck Chapel with Rev. Clinton Buck and Rev. William A. Cheyne officiating.

Burial with Military Honors will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by one son Charles Holder of Fort Smith, one grandson Jason Williams and wife Jennifer of Fort Smith, two great grandsons Drake and Walker Williams of Fort Smith and his son-in-law Jay Williams of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers will be Bill Batchelor, Jean Williams, Ted Goodman, Bill Pitts, Marion McKenzie and Daniel McKenzie.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Pacesetters, Builders Sunday School Class, and Faculty at F.S.J.C. "Westark" Jr. College, 1956-1982.
