Mr. Bill Hess of Van Buren(Crawford County), Arkansas died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, in Van Buren. He was 77 years old. Mr. Hess was the owner of Hess Die Mold in Fort Smith; where he retired from. He was a member of the Mountainburg Presbyterian Church, in Mountainburg, Arkansas. Mr. Hess loved playing golf and driving his corvette.
Mr. Hess was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife: Evelyn Marie Hess.

He is survived by four daughters: Sheryl Letterman and Connie Frantsen, both of Springfield, Missouri, Kathy Knight of Richmond, Kentucky; and Billie Cole of Kernersville, North Carolina; one son: Russ Hess; and Laura Cate of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his grandchildren: Adam Letterman, Robin Letterman, Megan Frantsen, Zachary Frantsen, Jennifer Knight, John cole, Jordan Hess, Jamie Hess, Alex and Sarah Cate, Damon Osborne, Amber Osborne, and Devron Osborne; his great-grandchildren: Ryan Brandenburg, Lauren and Alayna Osborne; a brother Merle Hess of Southern Pines, North Carolina; a sister: Rosalie McClary of Knob Noster, Missouri, and numerous friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 1:00p.m. in the Mountainburg Presbyterian Church.
A private burial was held at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Evelyn Marie Hess, 74, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007. She was born October 1, 1932 in Syracuse, Nebraska to Russell A. Moss and Sarah I. Matchett Moss. She was retired co-owner/office manager of Hess Die Mold, Inc. and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas with a private family burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband Bill L. Hess, five daughters Sheryl Letterman and Connie Frantsen of Springfield, Missouri, Kathy Knight of Richmond, Kentucky, Billie Cole of Kernersville, North Carolina and Laura Cate of Fort Smith, Arkansas, one son Russell Hess of Alma, Arkansas, four sisters Betty Dixon of Hamilton, Missouri, Phyllis Monteleone of Holt, Missouri, Carol Stockton of Neosho, Missouri and Nancy Franklin of Columbia, Missouri, four brothers Bob Moss of Neosho, Missouri, Charles Moss of Lawson, Missouri and Fred Moss of Hamilton, Missouri, and Wendell Moss of Hamilton, Missouri eleven grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons Adam Letterman, Zac Frantsen, Will Cole, John Cole, Jordan Hess and Alex Cate.
